                                                                                                          Security Systems Technician (Re-advertisement)

The Security Systems Technician is responsible to install, configure, integrate, maintain, repair, and monitor the security systems, such as audio virtual, surveillance cameras, access control, intrusion, alarm, intercom, electric fencing systems, and automation of gates, and doors. This includes performing routine maintenance and emergency repairs. The technician will be monitoring the security systems and advise management, CHSO, security guards, the project team, technicians, and clients regarding systems. The position is responsible for the full life cycle of all security systems. 

The successful candidate will: 

• Install, configure, fit, and integrate, security systems (audio virtual, cameras, alarms, intercoms, electric fencing, doors, gates, biometrics systems, etc).
• Repair and maintain security systems.
• Security systems daily monitoring
• Assist the security team, technicians, and project team with security systems.
• Be safety conscious.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience as a Security Systems Technician
• Degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Engineering, or similar qualification
• Knowledge and experience of:
  • Microsoft operating systems
  • Networking (design, planning, and installation)
  • Biometric systems (ZKAccess)
  • CCTV and VMS’s (GeoVision GV-VMS, SMartPSS, HikCentral, IVMS)
  • Email software i.e. Outlook
  • Microsoft Office
  • Desktop software and server software (installing and configuring)
  • Hardware technical skills, i.e., use tools and other means to fix/maintain/repair.
• PSIRA registration is advantageous.
• A valid driver’s license
