Description:

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Product Assurance Engineer will ensure that space systems under development or operation meet the reliability, maintainability, availability, and safety requirements as approved by the Programme/Project Manager.

 

Key performance areas will include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop Product Assurance Programme Plans and related documents.
  • Establishment of product assurance and verification requirements for inclusion in technical specifications to ensure technical completeness and accuracy.
  • Responsible for all quality control activities during a product’s Assembly, Integration, Testing, and Verification phases.
  • Track and manage all anomalies, Non-Conformance Reports, Requests for Deviations, and Waivers during product development and AIT cycles.
  • Implement a continuous improvement process through the performance of failure analysis and process and quality auditing.
  • Implement and maintain ISO9001.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate must have the following qualifications and experience:

  • MSc Eng/ MEng in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Aeronautical or Satellite Engineering fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ Product Assurance and related Engineering experience in a complex programme environment, preferably in the Aeronautical/Space industry.
  • Experience includes significant Satellite System technical knowledge, and experience in related/applicable:
  1. Product and Quality Assurance.
  2. Space product Assembly, Integration, Testing, and Verification Campaigns.
  3. System Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Testability and Safety.
  4. Electrical, electronic, and electromechanical (EEE) components.
  • Materials, and mechanical parts.
